the hotel is super new and cozy, really loved how clean and comfy everything was. the reception staff were amazing and so helpful, even gave us a map and tips for the area. the location is nice and chill, away from the busy streets but still close to shops! we enjoyed the beautiful restaurant with all the plants, perfect for relaxing. oh, and the soap they use is from a super cool local brand!
but there was this weird smell in the room every day from 11-12, really distracting. also, the glass bathroom door didn’t close well, letting in some noise.

my stay was fantastic, especially because the hotel is just a few steps from the vibrant Ribeira Square and only a short walk to the beautiful Jardins do Palacio de Cristal, making it perfect for city strolls along the river and stunning park views.

Now, about that air con—it was a bit of a puzzle!

i was almost ready to give this place a good review, but not when the hot water was nonexistent and the coffee machine served garbage. oh, and a complimentary bottle of water would’ve been nice. overall, not sure what i expected, but for five nights, i thought i might've earned a little extra attention.

The garden area served as a beautiful retreat, allowing us to unwind amidst nature in a tranquil setting, a lovely contrast to the vibrant city life.
The sound insulation in our room was lacking, making it easy to hear conversations from neighboring rooms, which detracted somewhat from our comfort.

A garden retreat in the city
I loved waking up to the scent of fresh pastries each morning. The garden area is a peaceful escape, and the staff went out of their way to recommend local attractions.
The breakfast selection felt limited to just a few options, which was a minor letdown during my stay. the walls were a bit thin, allowing sound from neighbors to seep in.

The garden area is a standout feature, providing a peaceful oasis that's a breath of fresh air in the city. I appreciated the thoughtful welcome amenities, like the complimentary local pastry at check-in, which set a pleasant tone for my stay.
Accessing the parking area was a bit tricky—tight spots made maneuvering a hassle for those with larger vehicles. The inconsistent water pressure in the bathroom was also frustrating at times, especially when you needed to wash up. Plus, the air conditioning struggled to keep the room at a comfortable temperature, leaving it uncomfortably warm. The breakfast selection seemed limited compared to the €20 price tag, making it feel a bit overpriced. sound insulation wasn’t great—noise from neighboring rooms occasionally disrupted the peace, which can be a bummer when you’re trying to relax.
